## MS Excel SUMIF Function & SUMIFS Function

### SUMIF Formula

Sumif function use for calculate sum with condition from given data set.
We can use Multiple criteria for detailed summery report.

For finding cash payment we need range, criteria & sumange.
Column C is our range & cash is our Criteria. Text available in Cell F5. we can use “cash” or cell C5.
sum range is amount column D
IF we are finding report by date then Range will be  Column B & criteria particular Date.

In the cell G5 type =SUMIF(

when Highlighting range select range column C press comma
click criteria cell F5 press comma
Then Select Amount column D
Close bracket & Press Enter.
=SUMIF(C:C,G4,D:D)

### SUMIFS Function

#### SUMIFS Function

In the sumif function can use only one criteria. In the SUMIFS Function can apply one or more criteria.

In the screenshot  example now we are finding Date wise cash & Date wise Bank Receipt Mode.
for apply sumifs function need Date range , date Criteria, Payment Mode Range & Cash or Bank Criteria & Amount Range.

1 Sum range is Column D
2 st criteria Range  column B & Criteria is Cell F10.
3 rd Range column C & Criteria is G9 .

Type =SUMIFS(
then Select column B press comma & Select column B then click cell F10 Press comma again.
Select column C & press comma. click Cell G9 then press F4.(You can Type criteria between inverted comma Ex. “Cash” or Click on cell. F4 option For fix the cell)
Close the Bracket & press enter.
=SUMIFS(D:D,B:B,F10,C:C,\$G\$9) or =SUMIFS(D:D,B:B,F10,C:C,”Cash”)

You will Get Result. Copy Formula & Paste in the cell bellow.
In the next H column cell Report apply again manually first formula then copy paste bellow cell.
